The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a Ramadan relief package for 1.063 million low-income families this year, under which each family will receive an average of Rs12,500.

According to Finance Adviser Muzammil Aslam, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has increased the Ramadan package by 25 per cent in view of rising inflation.

He said that in 2024, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had for the first time provided Rs10,000 per family under the Ramadan package, following which Punjab and other provinces introduced similar packages at the same level in 2025.

The finance adviser added that the objective of the current package is to provide relief to low-income segments during inflation so they can meet their basic needs in the holy month of Ramadan.

He remarked that this is the difference between a public government and a “Form 47 government.”

Muzammil Aslam said the approval was granted during the 47th cabinet meeting in line with the vision of Imran Khan and on the directives of Chief Minister Suhail Afridi.
