Pakistan is observing the 11th anniversary of the Army Public School (APS) Peshawar tragedy today, paying tribute to the innocent children, teachers, and staff who lost their lives in the terrorist attack on December 16, 2014.

A total of 147 people, including 132 schoolchildren, were martyred when terrorists stormed the school, marking one of the darkest days in the country’s history. Security forces responded swiftly and eliminated all the attackers.

President Asif Ali Zardari, in his message, said the nation remembers the immense sacrifice of the APS martyrs, who became symbols of resilience against terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the sacrifices of the children, teachers, and staff will remain etched in the national memory, stressing that true justice lies in the complete eradication of terrorism.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also paid tribute, saying the attack was an assault on the heart of the nation, but the martyrs left behind a legacy of unity, courage, and sacrifice. He vowed that the sacrifices made in the fight against terrorism would not go in vain.
