Security forces carried out an operation in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan on September 20, killing seven militants, including three Afghans and two suicide bombers, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The ISPR statement said the operation was launched after information was received about the presence of an Indian proxy group, “Fitna al-Khawarij,” in the area. A sanitization operation is continuing to remove any other India-sponsored foreign elements found in the locality.

The ISPR said it expects the Afghan government to fulfil its responsibilities and prevent the use of its territory for terrorist activities against Pakistan. It added that Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eradicate the scourge of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country.

He said the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the security forces and that militants will find no place to hide.
