A major infiltration attempt by a group of militants near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border was foiled by security forces in the Sambaza area of Balochistan’s Zhob district during the night between August 7 and 8.

According to security sources, the group, linked to the Indian proxy network Fitna al-Khawarij, was attempting to cross into Pakistani territory when they were intercepted. Troops responded swiftly and decisively, engaging the infiltrators in a well-coordinated operation that resulted in the killing of 33 militants.

Following the encounter, a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the site. A sanitization operation is ongoing to clear the surrounding area of any remaining threats.

Security officials stated that this infiltration attempt marks a serious escalation by hostile proxies operating from across the border. However, they emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully committed to defending the country’s frontiers and eliminating Indian-sponsored militancy from its soil.
