An 18-year-old youth allegedly shot himself dead in the Faqirabad area of Peshawar.

According to police, the incident took place in Shah Nawaz Town, where 18-year-old Hamza was being stopped by his mother from talking to a girl on a mobile phone. An argument reportedly broke out between the two over the issue.

Police said that during the argument, the teenager allegedly opened fire on himself, resulting in his death on the spot.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police reached the scene and shifted the body to the hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police also took the pistol into custody and launched an investigation into the incident.

It is worth mentioning that a few days earlier, a girl in the Tehkal Canal Town area of Peshawar had also allegedly committed suicide by shooting herself after being stopped by her mother from using a mobile phone.
