A mother allegedly killed her daughter by hanging her from a tree within the jurisdiction of Town Police Station in Peshawar. 

According to police, initial investigations revealed that the girl had become pregnant before marriage, after which her mother confessed to killing her.

Police sources said the victim had left home and was brought back by her mother after she was traced a week later.

According to police, the mother had her daughter undergo a pregnancy test, which came back positive. After receiving the positive result, the mother allegedly became angry and hanged her daughter from a tree near their home, resulting in her death.

Police said further investigation into the incident is underway, while the victim’s mother is being questioned.
