An elderly widow from Bara’s Kamarkhel area, Shal Zeera, has accused her close relatives of embezzling Rs1.8 million and appealed to the authorities for justice.

Speaking at a press conference at Bara Press Club, Shal Zeera said that three years ago, she had handed over Rs1.8 million to her cousins, Mohammad Sharif, Sharif Khan, Yusuf Khil, and Shan Akbar, to invest in a business. However, she alleged that they have now refused to return the money.

The widow, who appeared distressed, said she is sick and helpless and currently survives on charity.

With tears in her eyes, she said she has been subjected to grave injustice and desperately needs support to reclaim her rightful money.

Shal Zeera urged the government, district administration, human rights organizations, and elders of the Kamarkhel tribe to intervene and help her recover the amount.

She warned that if justice is not provided through traditional tribal mechanisms, she will be compelled to pursue legal action.
