In the Shaheed Abad area of Peshawar, two suspects who were in police custody were killed after unknown motorcyclists opened fire, while the police party remained safe.

According to the police, the SHO of Pashtakhara Police Station and the investigation team were taking the arrested suspects, Saeedullah alias “Dinosaur” and Shahzaib alias “Gophi,” to the crime scene for identification in a case of armed robbery.

During this process, near the Shaheed Abad graveyard, unknown motorcyclists suddenly opened fire on the police party.

As a result of the firing, the police personnel remained unharmed; however, both suspects in custody were hit by bullets and died on the spot.

After the incident, the attackers managed to escape. A search operation has been launched in the area to trace them.

Police stated that the deceased suspects were nominated in a case involving the brutal killing of a young man, Shahzaib, who was shot dead during a robbery on January 2. Further investigation into the incident is underway, and the matter is being probed from multiple angles.
