Former U.S. President Donald Trump has said he is aware of the rising tensions, and reports of possible conflict, between Pakistan and Afghanistan, and pledged to look into the matter upon his return to the United States.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One while en route from the U.S. to Israel, Trump said he has historically played a role in resolving global conflicts and would continue to do so.

“I’ve heard there’s now a war between Pakistan and Afghanistan. I’ll have to look into it once I get back,” Trump said. “I’ve always been good at ending wars. I’ve ended many conflicts before.”

Claims of Past Diplomatic Successes

Trump also claimed he had previously stopped a war between Pakistan and India through tariffs, saying it was an honor for him to have potentially saved millions of lives.

“I used tariffs to stop a war between Pakistan and India. That was a great honor for me, to have saved so many lives,” he remarked.

Comments on Gaza Situation

Earlier, Trump also spoke about the situation in Gaza, claiming that the war there had ended and the current ceasefire was expected to hold.

He further announced that a “Board of Peace” would soon be established to oversee Gaza’s transition toward stability, and expressed optimism that hostages held in the region may be released ahead of schedule.
