A widespread tree plantation campaign is underway across Subdivision Ladha in Upper South Waziristan to create a greener, healthier region. The initiative, spearheaded by the Youth Office, kicked off in Sam, Karma, Sherwangi, Tiarza Abbas Khel, and at the District Mehsud Press Club.

The campaign was launched on the directives of the provincial government and the Deputy Commissioner of Upper South Waziristan, and its primary aim is to improve the environment, promote sustainability, and inspire the local youth to take ownership of their natural surroundings.

Local youth, students, journalists, and social activists enthusiastically participated in the initiative, planting various types of saplings and demonstrating their commitment to environmental sustainability.

Speaking on the occasion, Youth Officer Farooq Mehsud emphasized the importance of involving the younger generation in eco-friendly activities to ensure a clean and healthy environment for future generations. 

He described the campaign as a positive step towards encouraging constructive engagement in the region and vowed to continue such efforts until the vision of a green South Waziristan becomes a reality.
