A transgender person and his companion were shot dead in the suburban area of Benazir Garhi in Pabbi, Nowshera. According to police, both victims were found riddled with bullets.

Police said the slain transgender person, Salman alias Khkula, had been taken away the previous night by Khayal Muhammad. 

Khkula’s father, Noor Rehman, told police that his son had left home accompanied by the now-deceased Khayal Muhammad.

Officials said investigation into the double murder is underway, with mobile phone data of the victims and other evidence being collected to trace the perpetrators.

The bodies have been shifted to Mian Rashid Memorial Hospital in Pabbi for post-mortem, while Rescue 1122 has completed its operation.
