Three security personnel were martyred and four others injured after a security forces' Bomb Disposal (BD) team was hit by an explosion during a routine operation near Mamad Gat in Safi Tehsil of Mohmand district.

According to security sources, the martyred personnel have been identified as Naib Subedar Akhtar Baz, Lance Naik Mohib Din, and Sepoy Shafiq.

The injured personnel include Naik Islam Haq, Lance Naik Haq Nawaz, Sepoy Afraz, and Sepoy Hakim.

Sources said the injured were immediately shifted to Mamad Gat for medical treatment following the incident.

Security sources added that further investigation into the incident is underway.
