Three people, including Chief of Ahmadzai Wazir Malik Tariq Khan and Malik Sarfaraz Khan Yargul Khel, were killed while two others sustained serious injuries in a bomb blast near the main gate of Khanzada Market in Wana, Lower South Waziristan.

According to police sources, the explosion was carried out using a remote-controlled explosive device that targeted the vehicle of Malik Tariq Khan. The blast completely destroyed the vehicle.

The injured were immediately shifted to Headquarters Hospital Wana, where they are receiving medical treatment.

Eyewitnesses said clear traces of explosive material were visible on the vehicle after the blast, while security forces and police cordoned off the area and began collecting evidence.

Following the incident, law enforcement agencies launched an investigation.
