Khyber: In the Akakhel area of Khyber District, security forces conducted a timely and effective operation, preventing terrorists from taking over Government High School Khawaja Mirkale. During the operation, 10 militants were killed.

According to security sources, the terrorists entered the school, took control of the building, removed the national flag, hoisted their group’s flag, and circulated a video of the act on social media. Upon receiving the report, the forces immediately surrounded the area and launched a search operation.

Sources said there was heavy gunfire exchange between the security forces and the terrorists during the operation, resulting in the death of 10 militants. After the successful operation, the forces completely cleared the school, while search and clearance operations continue in the area.

Security officials stated that forces remain on high alert to maintain law and order in the area, and further investigations into the incident have begun.

Meanwhile, reports have emerged of an alleged drone attack on the residence (Hujra) of a person named Baz Haji in the Akakhel, Madakhel, and Ghazi Khel areas of Bara, resulting in the death of a young man and injuries to another. Local sources said the incident has caused panic in the area, prompting many residents to relocate.

Additionally, in Bannu District, security forces killed three militants during operations. According to ISPR, clearance operations continue in various areas to eliminate terrorists.
