Swat: A case in Saidu Sharif Shagai, Swat, has taken a complicated turn after a woman levelled serious allegations against Gran Bacha, the nephew of PTI MPA Fazal Hakim Khan.
The woman, who identifies herself as Khapirei, alleged that she was summoned by Gran Bacha to his residence and later taken to a government bungalow, where she was allegedly subjected to physical abuse. She claimed that others, including individuals named Mian and Waqas, were present during the incident.
She further alleged that after the assault, she was placed in a vehicle and taken near Serena Hotel, Swat, where an attempt was allegedly made to run her over, leaving her injured. She also claimed that timely medical assistance was not provided at the hospital.

The woman accused the police of altering her statement and FIR, saying that the names of the actual culprits were not included, and the case was filed against “unknown persons.”
Gran Bacha, however, strongly denied all allegations, calling them baseless and claiming that attempts were being made to defame him.
Police sources stated that a report was lodged at Saidu Sharif Police Station by a woman named Nazish, claiming that she was hit by an unidentified vehicle near Allah Chowk while returning home at night, and the driver fled. The report did not name any suspects.
The case has also become a topic of debate on social media, with conflicting claims emerging. Civil society and the public have demanded a transparent and impartial investigation due to the sensitive nature of the allegations, so that the facts are revealed and those responsible are held accountable.
