Unknown individuals attacked senior journalist Muhammad Israr, the Chairman of the Chakdara Press Club, in Lower Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to sources, the attackers subjected Muhammad Israr to physical violence, leaving him injured.

The injured journalist was immediately shifted to Chakdara Hospital for treatment, where doctors said that his condition is now out of danger.

Following the incident, a wave of concern spread among the journalistic community.

Meanwhile, the journalist community strongly condemned the attack and demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible. They urged authorities to bring the attackers to justice according to the law.

They further stated that attacks on journalists are attacks on press freedom, and called on the government and law enforcement agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are brought before the court of law as soon as possible. Prayers were also offered for Muhammad Israr’s speedy recovery.
