A development package worth one trillion rupees has been approved for the tribal areas, aimed at bringing significant improvements in economic development, education, health, and infrastructure.
Under this package, investment will be made in six different thematic areas for economic development, with special focus on establishing a Tribal Medical College, an Institute of Modern Sciences, and Digital Cities.
Sports complexes will be built in every district, while sports grounds, orphanages, and shelters will be constructed in every tehsil.
Markets and the entry and exit points of the merged districts will be included in the Safe City Program, and instructions have also been issued to shift schools, health centers, and markets to solar energy.
Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Suhail Afridi, stated that this package will open new avenues in the education, health, and economic sectors of the tribal areas.
In the education sector, 1,245 new primary schools will be established, 463 primary and 85 middle schools will be upgraded, while 975 primary, 240 middle, and 125 high schools will be rehabilitated under the package.
Along with the recruitment of 11,500 teachers, various scholarships will also be provided.
To improve the health sector, telemedicine centers will be established in District Headquarters Hospitals, and special attention will be given to the rehabilitation and activation of health centers.
The Chief Minister directed that all projects be completed on time so that new opportunities for economic, educational, and social development can be created in the tribal areas.
