LANDI KOTAL: An all-parties conference was held at Masjid Quba in Landi Kotal against the prolonged closure of the Torkham border, where political leaders and local elders demanded the immediate reopening of the crossing for trade activities.
Speakers at the meeting said the closure of the Torkham border for the past eight months had pushed local residents into severe economic hardship, with many families struggling to survive.
Political and tribal leaders urged senior government officials to reopen the border without delay, stating that thousands of people associated with trade and transport had lost their livelihoods due to the suspension of cross-border activities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants called on the government to take immediate practical steps to restore border trade and ease the difficulties faced by affected families.
