Since March 25, ongoing rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have caused widespread destruction. So far, 26 people have died and 77 others injured due to collapsing roofs and walls, according to a report released by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
According to PDMA, among the deceased are 18 children, 3 men, and 5 women, while the injured include 33 men, 9 women, and 35 children.
The report states that a total of 102 houses were damaged, with 82 partially destroyed and 20 completely collapsed.

These incidents occurred in Bannu, Abbottabad, Kohat, Peshawar, Nowshera, Bajaur, Lakki Marwat, Kurram, Hangu, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Upper Dir, Batagram, North Waziristan, and Tank.
PDMA said that Rescue 1122, district administrations, and other relevant agencies are engaged in relief efforts, striving to provide immediate assistance to those affected.
The Director General of PDMA specifically directed the Bannu district administration to provide immediate financial aid to the families of the deceased, while ordering other districts to accelerate relief activities as well.
PDMA also warned that a new spell of rains is expected intermittently from April 1 to April 4.
