The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain, snowfall, and fog in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as cold weather conditions continue to grip large parts of the province.

According to the forecast, rain is expected in Battagram, Bajaur, Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber, while snowfall is likely in the surrounding mountainous areas, which could further lower temperatures and affect travel in upper regions.

The PMD also predicts that fog may persist in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly during morning and nighttime hours, reducing visibility on highways and main roads.

In the upper and northern belt, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Kohistan, scattered rain is expected at a few locations, with light snowfall over higher elevations.

Meanwhile, the Met Office said that Islamabad and adjoining areas will remain cold and cloudy, while Murree and parts of Azad Kashmir may experience light rain and snowfall.

Elsewhere in the country, fog is likely to continue in parts of Punjab and Sindh, while light rain and snowfall have been forecast for Quetta, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, and Zhob in Balochistan.

Authorities have advised commuters, particularly in KP’s hilly and tribal districts, to exercise caution due to possible slippery roads and reduced visibility amid changing weather conditions.
