Cold weather and cloudy conditions are expected in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while severe cold is likely in upper and mountainous areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain accompanied by strong winds is expected in Chitral (Upper and Lower), Dir (Upper and Lower), Swat, Malakand, Buner, Bajaur, Shangla, Upper and Lower Kohistan, Kolai-Palas Kohistan, Torghar, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mohmand, Peshawar, Khyber, Orakzai, Kohat, Hangu, Kurram, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, and North and South Waziristan.

 Snowfall is also possible in mountainous regions.

The Meteorological Department further stated that heavy rain and significant snowfall may occur at some locations in the upper districts during nighttime.

 Due to snowfall, slippery roads and possible closures may occur in Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kalam, Chitral, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, the Galiyat region, and Tirah in Khyber.

It has also been reported that there is a risk of landslides and avalanches in the mountainous areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

 The administration has advised tourists and local residents to take precautionary measures in view of the weather conditions and avoid unnecessary travel.
