Voting is underway in the Jirga Hall of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly for the Senate by-election on the general seat left vacant after the disqualification of former Senator Shibli Faraz.
Three candidates; Taj Muhammad Afridi, Khurram Zeeshan, and Irfan Saleem, are contesting the by-poll, while two other candidates, Abid Khan Yousafzai and Nisar Khan, withdrew their nominations a day earlier.

The first vote was cast by Ihsanullah Khan from PK-115 constituency, followed by minority member Gurpal Singh. So far, three votes have been polled, and the process remains peaceful.
According to the Election Commission, all arrangements for the by-election have been finalized. Polling began at 9 a.m. and will continue uninterrupted until 4 p.m.
