A new polio case has been confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Torghar district, where a 12-month-old child has tested positive for the virus. This marks the province’s 19th polio case reported so far this year.

According to the Health Department, the latest detection brings the total number of polio cases across the country to 30 in 2025.

Officials said the affected child belongs to an area where health teams face difficulties in reaching certain locations during vaccination campaigns.
