A police checkpoint in the Dheakrai area of Salarzai tehsil, Bajaur district, was destroyed in a bomb blast, according to official sources.

Police confirmed that the outpost was completely demolished by the explosion. 

However, due to the fragile security situation in the region, the post had already been vacated as a precautionary measure prior to the blast.

Sources further stated that no police personnel were present at the time of the explosion. 

Law enforcement officials said an investigation has been launched, and a reassessment of the overall security situation in the area is underway.
