In a significant development, evidence has surfaced suggesting the involvement of police personnel in illegal gold mining activities in the Nizampur area of Nowshera.

According to sources, Jamal Khan, the muharrir of Sabirabad police post, has been identified as an alleged facilitator of the illegal gold mining mafia. 

Following the emergence of crucial evidence, the District Police Officer (DPO) Nowshera immediately suspended him, and ordered a departmental inquiry into the matter.

DSP Akora Khattak Jawad Khan also confirmed that muharrir Jamal Khan was suspended on the basis of solid evidence.

Sources further revealed that statements and videos provided by the suspects indicate that he was allegedly involved in the unlawful transportation of excavators and diesel for mining operations. 

Additionally, authorities reportedly possess evidence of bribes received by the suspended muharrir, which is now part of the ongoing investigation.
