The Peshawar High Court has issued a notice to the Ministry of SAFRON on petitions filed by 12 Afghan refugees seeking to stop their deportation, and has asked for a response within 14 days.

The petitioners’ lawyer told the court that his clients are Afghan nationals residing in the Khorasan Camp and have approached the United Nations agency UNHCR for permission to stay.

According to the lawyer, their applications are still pending, and therefore, the deportation of these refugees should be halted until a decision is made.
