In most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, strong winds and rain accompanied by thunder and lightning are expected from March 25 to 30.

A western wind system entered the province on the night of March 24 and will continue until March 31.

According to PDMA, the upper districts of Chitral, Swat, Dir, Kohistan, Mansehra, and Abbottabad will experience rainfall and snowfall in the mountains, while the plains—including Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Kohat, Kurram, and Waziristan—will also see rain and strong winds.

From March 28 to 30, heavy rains are expected intermittently across different areas of the province, with hailstorms possible in some locations.

Due to heavy rainfall, there is a risk of flash floods in streams and rivers, and landslides in hilly areas.

PDMA has advised residents to stay in safe locations and take precautionary measures.

Steps should be taken to protect weak buildings, electric poles, and solar panels from potential damage.
