Thousands of Pakistani transporters continued their protest on the Pak-Afghan Highway near Landi Kotal over the issue of Pakistani drivers and vehicles stranded in Afghanistan for the past eight months due to the prolonged closure and restrictions at the Torkham border.

During negotiations with the protesters, Assistant Commissioner Landi Kotal Inamullah Wazir and SHO Landi Kotal Police Station Ishrat Shinwari were also present. Transporters and leaders of various political parties gave the administration a three-day deadline, demanding immediate steps for the safe return of stranded Pakistani drivers and vehicles to Pakistan.

The protesters warned that if the issue was not resolved within three days, they would block the Pak-Afghan Highway as part of their protest. They also threatened to stop vehicles carrying Afghan families returning to Afghanistan.
