Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has imposed a fine of 20 million rupees on national cricketer Naseem Shah for posting a tweet about Maryam Nawaz on social media.
According to sources, the PCB stated that players are instructed under their contracts to stay away from political matters. However, Naseem Shah’s tweet was deemed a violation of the code of conduct.

PCB officials said the move aims to maintain team discipline and keep players away from unnecessary controversies.
The board also confirmed that Naseem Shah has dismissed his social media advisor, while the PCB plans to blacklist the advisor to prevent them from working with any players in the future.
It is worth noting that the fast bowler had posted a controversial tweet, after which an inquiry was initiated against him.
