Significant progress has been made in the investigation of the Islamabad blast case, as the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Peshawar conducted an operation and arrested four key terrorists.
According to CTD sources, two suspects were arrested from Pabi in Nowshera district, while two facilitators were apprehended from Bajaur. Sources stated that the arrested terrorists were planning a major attack during Ramadan.
The CTD further revealed that the arrested individuals confessed to involvement in more than 11 terrorist incidents, including those linked to PTI leader Rehan Zeb. Both groups were operating in Nowshera under the cover of a perfume business.

During the operation, a suicide jacket and two three-wheelers were recovered from the suspects. Sources confirmed that the arrested individuals are affiliated with the ISIS-Khorasan group, and further raids are ongoing for additional arrests.
The CTD said the terrorists were residing in Nowshera using Bajaur-issued identity cards and had rented a house for 40,000 PKR per month. The ID card used to obtain the house initially appeared clear in police records but was later traced.
Among those arrested is a key commander reportedly from Afghanistan who has a physical disability. Investigations are continuing.
