In Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi spoke to the media during the inauguration of the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium and announced that the distribution of the Ramadan package has begun.

He said that despite the public holiday, 200,000 people received the Ramadan package today, and by Monday the package will reach 900,000 deserving beneficiaries.

The Chief Minister stated that the KP government has reduced its own expenditures and urged the federal government to do the same.

 He emphasized that the public will not be burdened with inflation and that sacrifices will not be demanded from the people if the need arises.

He further said that even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the government protected people from inflation through smart lockdowns. He also appealed to federal ministers to reduce their protocols and expenses.

Speaking about cricket, he said that cricket activities have returned to Peshawar through the National T20 Cricket Tournament.

Additionally, he said that all arrangements for the Release Force aimed at securing the release of the party’s founder have been completed and that the force will be formed soon.

The Chief Minister clarified that the government is not against individuals but against policies, and officials can also attend meetings online if necessary.
