The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has imposed a ban on male teachers meeting female students alone in their offices at all public universities across the province.
In this regard, the Provincial Higher Education Department has issued a formal notification to all universities.
According to the notification, each department must designate a female faculty member who will listen to the problems and complaints of female students and take steps toward their resolution.

The department further stated that universities will be required to hold seminars at least once every quarter to raise awareness among female students about the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act and the Higher Education Commission’s anti-harassment policy.
The notification added that these measures are being implemented on the directives of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and all universities must ensure full compliance.
Universities have also been instructed to submit implementation reports to the Higher Education Department.
