An important meeting regarding the unique project for the issuance of specialized/unique number plates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jahan.

During the meeting, various aspects of the unique number plates project were discussed in detail, and it was decided to introduce number plates based on specific names and identities in the province.

 Under this initiative, citizens will be provided the facility to obtain number plates with their preferred names and identities.

 Instructions were also issued to activate an online system for the unique number plates project at the earliest.

The IT Board briefed the provincial minister on the progress of the project. After personalized numbers, the unique number plates project is being termed the second major and distinctive initiative of the Excise Department.

Following the formal launch of the project, personalized and unique number plates will be issued for both new and already registered vehicles.
