Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi made three key and clear announcements regarding the current situation in Tirah Valley, which were unanimously approved by thousands of participants in the jirga by raising their hands.
Addressing the Khyber Peace Jirga held in Jamrud, Khyber district, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi stated in explicit terms that the displacement of people from Tirah Valley was not voluntary but carried out under a forced and organized plan, which the provincial government does not accept under any circumstances.
He announced that the provincial government stands shoulder to shoulder with the affected people and will utilize all available resources for their rehabilitation, assistance, and resolution of their problems — even if it requires spending not just four billion but up to one hundred billion rupees.
He further announced that to protect the constitutional and fundamental rights of the people of Khyber, especially Tirah Valley and all tribal districts, separate jirgas will be held across the tribal districts of the province.
After these jirgas, a grand jirga at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa level will be convened, and a date will be set to march to Islamabad, where the rights of the tribal people will be demanded in a peaceful yet firm manner.
Condemning the recent incident of terrorism in Balochistan, the Chief Minister said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is against all forms of terrorism.

Criticizing the federal government, he stated that the federation has completely failed to fulfill promises made during previous displacements, which is why the people of Pakhtunkhwa will now organize themselves and continue their struggle.
He announced that four billion rupees have been released on an emergency basis for the victims of Tirah Valley, and if needed, the amount can be increased up to one hundred billion rupees.
The Chief Minister also appealed to overseas Pakhtuns and Pakistanis at home and abroad to contribute to the provincial CM Relief Fund, for which a formal account will be established.
Sohail Afridi informed the jirga that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited him for a meeting on Monday, where he will present the case of the tribal people with full force.
The jirga unanimously decided that the people of Tirah Valley were forcibly displaced and that all concerns must be addressed before their return.
Provincial Minister Meena Khan Afridi, Member of Provincial Assembly and DEDAC Chairman Khyber Abdul Ghani Afridi, MNA Iqbal Afridi, MPA Allama Adnan Qadri, and other leaders also addressed the jirga and expressed full solidarity with the people of Tirah.
President of the Tirah Political Alliance, Zahid Khan Afridi, said that the affected people are facing severe hardships, while 70 percent of the victims are still unregistered, making an immediate and effective solution essential.
At the conclusion of the jirga, it was unanimously decided that after holding jirgas in all tribal districts, a large grand jirga will be convened at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa level, where the date for a march on Islamabad will be announced.
