Following the success of the Billion Tree Tsunami, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has introduced a wildlife restoration project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Special Assistant on Information Barrister Dr. Saif stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become the first province in the country to launch a wildlife restoration initiative. Under the project, blackbucks and chinkaras have been released into the forests of Kohat, while drone technology is being used for monitoring.

He added that local communities and wildlife officials are continuously supervising the process. According to Barrister Saif, the fruits of the Billion Tree Tsunami are now visible in the form of wildlife returning to their natural habitats, paving the way for the restoration of other species as well.
He further said that wildlife restoration will prove to be a milestone in maintaining ecological balance. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is carrying forward Imran Khan’s vision by expanding environment-friendly initiatives across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
