The three-day "Khyber Festival 2025" wrapped up at the Jamrud Sports Complex in Khyber district, marked by vibrant cultural displays, energetic sporting events, and enthusiastic participation from people of all ages.

Held from July 18 to 20, the festival was organized jointly by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority and the District Sports Department.

The festival commenced with the national anthem, a march-past, and a physical training show. A series of engaging competitions such as badminton, basketball, tug of war, archery, martial arts, and gymnastics kept audiences entertained and energized.

Food and handicraft stalls showcasing local skills attracted large crowds, with strong participation from women and youth.

A cultural evening featuring traditional Pashto music and a thought-provoking stage play titled “Haq” served to raise social awareness. The play was widely appreciated for its meaningful content and artistic delivery.

Director Sports Tashfeen Haider and Director Tourism Ishtiaq Ahmad, who attended as chief guests, described the festival as a symbol of peace, cultural harmony, and a positive platform for youth engagement.

During the closing ceremony, certificates, shields, and cash prizes were distributed among outstanding athletes and event organizers.

Local elders expressed their desire to see the festival become a regular feature and praised it as a successful celebration of Khyber’s rich cultural identity.
