Khyber: Driver and a minor child were killed when unidentified armed men opened fire on a moving vehicle in the Sultan Khel Mazrina Khwar area of Landi Kotal.

According to police, the incident occurred when unknown assailants targeted the vehicle, resulting in the deaths of the driver and a young boy on the spot.

Police said a heavy contingent reached the site immediately after the incident and shifted the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital Landi Kotal for post-mortem and legal formalities.

The deceased have been identified as Fayyaz and Arslan, residents of Mazrina Sultan Khel.

Officials added that evidence has been collected from the scene and a search operation has been launched to arrest the attackers. Police said the incident is being investigated from different angles and the perpetrators will be brought to justice soon.
