Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has said that if the sons of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan are arrested, it will only elevate their political profile.
Speaking on a private TV talk show, Rana Sanaullah remarked that it is the right of Imran Khan's sons to join PTI. “If they are arrested, they will emerge politically,” he added.
PTI leader Senator Ali Zafar, also present on the show, clarified that Imran Khan's sons, Qasim and Sulaiman, plan to visit Pakistan solely to meet their father and have no intention of marching toward Adiala Jail.

Speculation had been rife that the two sons might travel from London to Pakistan to lead or participate in the anti-government protest movement, announced by Imran Khan earlier this week. On July 9, Khan had declared that the time for negotiations was over and that protests would begin from August 5 to "free the nation from imposed rulers".
However, their mother and Imran Khan’s former wife, Jemima Goldsmith, recently stated that her sons are not even allowed to speak to their father over the phone. “Now the government is saying if they come to meet him in Pakistan, they will be thrown in jail,” she said.
