Following the fire incident at Gul Plaza in Karachi, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has issued an alert to all public and autonomous hospitals across the province.

The Health Department has released an official notification regarding fire safety measures, making it mandatory for all medical institutions to install fire extinguishers and ensure they are fully functional.

 According to the directive, hospitals, medical colleges, and district health offices have been instructed to ensure proper fire safety arrangements.

The notification further states that fire alarm systems, emergency exits, and firefighting equipment must be regularly inspected.

 The Health Department has warned that any negligence regarding fire safety will not be tolerated and strict compliance with the instructions must be ensured.
