Pakistan's Army Chief, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is currently on an official visit to the United States, where he has held key meetings with American political and military leadership as well as members of the Pakistani diaspora.
In Tampa, Asim attended the retirement ceremony of outgoing US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander General Michael E. Kurilla and the change-of-command ceremony for incoming Commander Admiral Brad Cooper.
He praised General Kurilla’s exceptional leadership and his valuable contributions to enhancing Pakistan–US military cooperation. Extending best wishes to Admiral Cooper, Field Marshal expressed confidence that mutual collaboration would continue to address shared security challenges.

Munir also met Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Keane, with discussions focusing on matters of mutual professional interest. He invited General Keane to visit Pakistan. On the sidelines, the Army Chief held informal interactions with defence chiefs of friendly nations.
During an introductory session with members of the Pakistani-American community, the Army Chief urged them to remain confident in Pakistan’s bright future and to play their part in promoting investment in the country.
The community members reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to Pakistan’s development and prosperity.
