The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle in Peshawar has arrested five Afghan nationals allegedly involved in attempting to secure Pakistani travel documents.
According to the FIA, the detainees, who hail from Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan, were residing illegally in Pakistan and were trying to obtain Pakistani documents through an agent.
Initial investigations revealed that the arrested Afghans had entered Pakistan unlawfully and failed to provide valid residency documents.
The FIA has launched further investigations into the case.
