The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast dry and cold weather across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, with upper mountainous regions expected to experience a further drop in temperatures.
According to the PMD, cold conditions will persist in the hilly areas, where mornings and nights are likely to turn even colder. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s upper districts, the intensity of cold weather is expected to remain unchanged.
Skardu recorded the lowest minimum temperature at –6°C, while Peshawar is likely to see temperatures fall to around 5°C today.

The PMD added that dry conditions are also expected across most districts of the province on Wednesday, with severe cold continuing in mountainous regions during the early and late hours.
In Punjab, smog is likely to blanket the plains, with light fog expected at a few locations.
Over the past 24 hours, most parts of the country remained under the influence of dry weather, keeping cold conditions intact in the northern areas, while light fog was reported in some of Punjab’s plain districts.
