Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif visited the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI), where he held an interactive session with students and faculty members on Pakistan’s current security situation, developments along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, and the role of social media in shaping public perception.
During his address, the DG ISPR said that Pakistan has taken effective measures against militants operating from Afghanistan and reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army will continue to stand as a strong shield against any form of aggression.
Addressing the youth, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry emphasized that the future of the nation rests on their shoulders and highlighted the pivotal role of young people in the country’s progress and prosperity.

Students and faculty paid rich tributes to the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Army, acknowledging their sacrifices for peace and stability. They said that such purposeful interactions should continue regularly to counter disinformation and propaganda in society.
The students expressed pride in the armed forces’ efforts, stating that the nation deeply values the military’s role in maintaining peace and contributing to national development.
They added that the DG ISPR’s detailed responses to their questions helped clear misconceptions and provided valuable insight into national security challenges.
