The number of dengue cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues to climb, with 38 new cases reported over the past 24 hours, according to a report issued by the provincial health department.

The report stated that the number of active dengue patients across the province has now reached 268. During the last 24 hours, 25 new patients were admitted to various hospitals, bringing the total number of hospitalized patients to 54.

Health officials said that a total of 3,830 dengue cases have been recorded across the province so far this year, out of which 1,582 patients required hospitalization. Of these, 3,560 have recovered, while two people have died due to the virus this year.

The Health Department has urged citizens to ensure that no stagnant water accumulates in or around their homes and to strictly follow preventive measures to curb the spread of dengue.
