Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi paid a surprise late-night visit to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar, where citizens voiced a series of complaints against the hospital administration.

Patients and attendants complained that patients were being neglected while hospital staff remained busy using mobile phones during duty hours.

Expressing strong displeasure over the situation, the chief minister announced a complete ban on mobile phone use during duty for hospital staff, government school teachers, and all government employees.

He said the complaint cell is being activated and urged citizens to report negligence, assuring that the government will take action. 
The chief minister further appealed to the public to record and directly send videos of any employee found using mobile phones during duty so that immediate action can be taken.
