A powerful explosion near a police vehicle in Wana Bazaar on Wednesday left two civilians dead and 14 others injured. The wounded include both police personnel and civilians.

According to sources, the police vehicle was the apparent target of the blast. The injured were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana, where several are reported to be in critical condition.

Meanwhile, in Bannu, militants launched an attack on the Khuni Khel police post in the jurisdiction of Wazir police station. 

An intense exchange of fire took place between the assailants and security personnel. During the clash, a police constable named Riaz sustained injuries and was immediately shifted to the hospital.
