Militants carried out simultaneous attacks at different locations in Bannu on Tuesday night, leaving one police constable dead, two of his nephews abducted, and a young boy from a religious seminary killed during an exchange of fire.

According to details, unidentified armed men raided the residence of Police Constable Rafidullah and CTD official Javed in the jurisdiction of Hovid Police Station.

The attackers abducted Constable Rafidullah along with his nephews, Fahad and Junaid. Later, Rafidullah was killed by the militants, while the two abducted nephews remain in captivity.

In a separate incident, militants opened fire on an FC checkpoint near the airport along the Miranshah Road. Security personnel responded promptly, forcing the attackers to retreat. 

However, during the exchange of fire, a child from a nearby religious seminary was caught in the crossfire and lost his life.
