Bannu Police have released a list of 40 most-wanted suspected militants, making public their names, photographs and the reward amounts announced for information leading to their arrest.

According to the police, the suspects are wanted in connection with bombings, attacks on security forces, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, targeted killings and other serious criminal cases.

Police said the highest reward of Rs10 million has been announced for the arrest of Akhtar Muhammad alias Khalil. Rewards of Rs8 million each have been set for Sadar Hayat alias Sufyan and Sadiq Ullah Garbaz, while Rs7 million has been announced for the arrest of Nasir Ullah alias Gidar. The lowest reward on the list is Rs500,000.

District Police Officer (DPO) Captain (Retd.) Furqan Bilal said the total reward announced for the arrest of the 40 suspected militants stands at Rs158.5 million. He added that the process of determining rewards for other wanted suspects is also underway, and further details will be shared with the public soon.

Bannu Police have appealed to citizens to immediately inform the police if they have any information about the suspects or their whereabouts.

According to the police, the identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential, and those providing credible and actionable information will receive the announced reward.
