Significant progress has been made in the recruitment process for Class IV vacant posts under the Elementary and Secondary Education Department in the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Finance Department has formally granted approval for the appointment of 657 vacant Scale-3 chowkidar (watchman) posts.
According to official documents, the Elementary and Secondary Education Department had sought permission to fill vacant Class IV posts in the merged districts.
In response, the Finance Department issued a notification stating that all recruitments will be carried out through open advertisement, a competitive process, and strictly on merit, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Establishment Department.
The Education Department stated that the approved posts include 27 in Bajaur, 74 in Khyber, 103 in Kurram, 66 in Mohmand, 129 in North Waziristan, 81 in Orakzai, 29 in South Waziristan Upper, and 27 in South Waziristan Lower.
In addition, approvals have been granted for 20 posts in FR Peshawar, 32 in FR Bannu, 24 in FR Tank, 15 in FR Lakki Marwat, 13 in FR Dera Ismail Khan, and 17 in FR Kohat in the former FATA regions.
The notification further clarifies that under no circumstances will recruitment exceed the approved vacant posts or be made against dying cadre positions. Following this approval, an increase in employment opportunities in the merged districts and fulfillment of the shortage of support staff in educational institutions is expected.
