The establishment of “Aka Khel Degree College” in Tehsil Bara has been approved, a move widely welcomed by youth and elders from various political and social groups of the Aka Khel tribe, who termed it a historic milestone. 

They expressed gratitude to Member Provincial Assembly Abdul Ghani Afridi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi for fulfilling a long-standing demand.

PTI leader Abdullah Afridi, Zwan Aka Khel Ittehad President Ajab Khan Afridi, Rafiq Parwana, VC Chairman Waseem, Abdul Malik, Jamshed, and tribal elder Haji Qambar, among others, told a press conference that the establishment of the college had been a long-awaited need. They said students would now have access to educational facilities near their homes.

They added that the approval of the college would not only boost educational development but also open new pathways for a better future for the younger generation. Youth representatives also welcomed the decision, saying the government had taken an important step toward addressing the area’s deprivations.

Tribal elders urged the government to also focus on other essential development projects in Aka Khel, particularly roads, water supply, health, and sports facilities, to ensure comprehensive progress in the region. They expressed hope that the project would be completed and become functional soon.
